THE WLI AWARDS ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE CITADEL AND THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF BUILDING ARTS. THE CITADEL'S FINANCIAL AID OFFICE DETERMINE THE RECIPIENTS OF THE SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO THE CITADEL.THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF BUILDING ARTS DETERMINES THE RECIPIENTS OF THE AWARD MADE TO THAT SCHOOL. THE WLI ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO 501(C)(3)ORGANIZATIONS AFTER APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF OFFICERS UPON RECOMMENDATION BY THE CHARITY COMMITTEE. ADDITIONAL GRANTS MAY BE AWARDED TO WIDOWS OF FORMER WLI MEMBERS, CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN OF WLI MEMBERS WHO ARE ENROLLED IN COLLEGE AFTER APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF OFFICERS.
