SINCE 1924 THE CLEVELAND COUNTY FAIR HAS BEEN HOME TO WHAT HAS BECOME NORTH CAROLINA'S LARGEST AGRICULTURAL FAIR. THE ANNUAL FAIR PROMOTES AGRICULTURE, EDUCATION, HISTORY, ALONG WITH ART AND INDUSTRY. DUE TO COVID-19, NO FALL 2020 NOR FALL 2021 FAIR WAS HELD.

EXEMPT PURPOSE ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDE CONDUCTING NORTH CAROLINA'S LARGEST AGRICULTURAL FAIR TO EDUCATE AND INSTRUCT FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING CONDITIONS OF WORK AND IMPROVING PRODUCTS AND EFFICIENCIES. CRAFT FAIRS AND OTHER EVENTS PROMOTE EDUCATION AND AGRICULTURE IN THE AREA. THE ANNUAL FAIR WAS NOT HELD IN THE FALL OF 2020 OR 2021 DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS.
