AFRICAN CULTURE CONNECTION EMPOWERS PEOPLE OF ALL AGES WITH KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THAT DEEPENS THEIR CONNECTION WITH AFRICA'S RICH CULTURAL LEGACY AND THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY.

Part 3 - Line 4a

AFRICAN CULTURE CONNECTION'S RESIDENCY AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH TEACHES AND CONNECTS STUDENTS AGES 5 TO 15 WITH AFRICAN CULTURE THROUGH MUSIC, DANCE, AND OTHER ARTS. OUR PERFORMANCES TO THE PUBLIC, SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES, RESIDENCIES, AND THROUGH WORKSHOPS HELP TO PROMOTE UNITY AND MULTICULTURALISM BY PROVIDING AUTHENTIC HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES WITH THE AFRICAN CULTURE. ADDITIONALLY, IT HELPS THE STUDENTS LEARN TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES CREATIVELY AND HOW TO WORK AS A TEAM. THE PROGRAMS ARE CURRENTLY HELD AT 20 AREA PUBLIC SCHOOLS AS WELL AS SEVERAL OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE AREA WHO PROVIDE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS.
