THE FRIENDS CONTINUED TO PURCHASE NEW FURNITURE FOR THE LIBRARY WHICH WAS INSTALLED IN 2020. COMFORTABLE CHAIRS AND SIDE TABLES WERE PURCHASED FOR SEVERAL AREAS WITHIN THE LIBRARY, INCLUDING THE JACOB'S FAMILY READING AREA AND NON-FICTION ROOM. NEW COMPUTER DESKS WERE ALSO PURCHASED. A BENCH WAS PURCHASED FOR THE CHILDREN'S AREA.THE FRIENDS PURCHASED FOUR HOTSPOTS TO INCREASE WI-FI ACCESSIBILITY. TO PROVIDE MORE COVID-FRIENDLY MEETING SPACES, THE FRIENDS PURCHASED THREE PICNIC TABLES FOR OUTSIDE USE.THE FRIENDS SPONSORED TWO STAFF APPRECIATION EVENTS. AND, FINALLY, THE FRIENDS SUPPORTED THE LIBRARY BY PURCHASING HOLIDAY DECORATIONS, INCLUDING POINSETTIAS. MONIES RAISED BY THE FRIENDS WENT PRIMARILY TOWARDS THE FURNITURE PURCHASES MENTIONED ABOVE. THE YEAR'S MAJOR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN WAS ENTITLED "IMAGINE YOUR STORY." THIS EFFORT RAN FROM LATE SPRING THROUGH THE END OF THE YEAR. ADDITIONAL INCOME WAS DERIVED THROUGH THE SALE OF MEMORIAL BRICKS AND ROC THE DAY, A UNITED WAY COMMUNITY EVENT HELD IN EARLY DECEMBER.
