NEXT STEP MINISTRIES PROVIDES REFUGE, ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION TO SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND THE BROADER COMMUNITY. NEXT STEP OFFERS SHELTER, SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, GOALS-BASED PROGRAMS, AND UNBIASED CARE IN A SAFE AND PROTECTIVE ENVIRONMENT. IN 2021, NEXT STEP SERVED 1,891 INDIVIDUALS SEEKING HELP ON THE NEXT STEP CRISIS LINE, PROVIDED SAFE HOUSING FOR 75 WOMEN AND CHILDREN FLEEING FROM ABUSE, AND ASSISTED 94 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COURT PROCESS. THE GOAL OF NEXT STEP IS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE ISSUES SURROUNDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS.
