DEVELOPING ORGANIZATIONS: WE BUILD THE CAPACITY OF NONPROFITS, LOCAL BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT, AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, TRAINING, ACCESS TO CAPITAL, AND RELATIONSHIP CONNECTIONS. PROGRAMS: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE (292 ATTENDED 9 VIRTUAL TRAININGS), NDC CERTIFICATION (52 PEOPLE ATTENDED NDC COURSES) AND ANNUAL OPPORTUNITY SC: COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE (150 ATTENDED IN PERSON AND VIRTUALLY).
GROWING NETWORKS AND ELEVATING INNOVATION: WE BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER TO BUILD POWER AND SHARE INFORMATION AND RESOURCES. PROGRAMS: ADVOCACY FOR THE CED FUND AND THE CD TAX CREDIT PROGRAMS (RESULTING IN $3 MILLION IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TAX CREDITS AND $2 MILLION APPROPRIATED FOR THE CED FUND), RURAL RESOURCE COALITION (100 PEOPLE ATTENDED ANNUAL MEETING), SC COMMUNITY CAPITAL ALLIANCE AND LANDOWNER WORKSHOPS (7 TRAININGS HELD RESULTING IN 24 ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INCENTIVES PROGRAM (EQIP) APPLICATIONS, 99 FARMERS AND LANDOWNERS ATTENDED, 9 FARMERS OBTAIN A FARM TRACT NUMBER AND 2,948.92 OF ACRES WERE REPRESENTED).
ATTRACTING AND DEPLOYING RESOURCES: WE BRING NEW AND ADDITIONAL RESOURCES, OFTEN FINANCIAL, TO THE STATE AND TO THE COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FIELD. PROGRAMS: COMMUNITY IMPACT FUND GRANT PROGRAM, INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT PROGRAM (2 HOMES WERE PURCHASED AND 3 STUDENTS WENT BACK TO SCHOOL) AND COMMUNITY GARDEN AND HOOP HOUSE GRANTS (8 COMMUNITY GARDENS AND 3 HOOPS HOUSE GRANTS WERE AWARDED TOTALING $54,000).
