THE NC PROVIDERS COUNCIL IS A STATEWIDE PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION WITH A DIVERSE MEMBERSHIP OF PROVIDERS OF MENTAL HEALTH, DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY, AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER SERVICES AND SUPPORTS. OUR PRIMARY CHARGE IS TO PROMOTE THE OVERALL IMPROVEMENT OF THE QUALITY OF SERVICES, AND ACCESS TO SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, AND ADDICTIVE DISEASES WHO REQUIRE SUPPORT TO REMAIN IN THE COMMUNITY.

ENCOURAGING PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES TO FACILITATE THE AVAILABILITY OF QUALIFIED PERSONNEL NECESSARY TO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED SERVICES;ASSURE THAT MEMBERS ADHERE TO THE COUNCIL'S PROFESSIONAL CODE OF ETHICS;FOSTERING THE DEVELOPMENT OF APPROPRIATE RESOURCES AND SERVICES; ADVOCATING FOR REASONABLE AND APPROPRIATE GOVERNMENTAL POLICIES, COMPENSATION, AND OTHER RESOURCES NECESSARY TO PROVIDE THE SUPPORTS AND SERVICES REQUESTED.
