COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF BRUNSWICK COUNTY (CIS) WORKED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BRUNSWICK COUNTY SCHOOLS AND OTHER PARTNERS TO SERVE AT-RISK STUDENTS. CIS PROVIDED TUTORS, MENTORS, ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE, ATTENDANCE MONITORING, BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONS, PARENT ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES, AND SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING GROUPS. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, MORE THAN 470 STUDENTS RECEIVED INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT AND OVER 3,800 BENEFITED FROM SCHOOL WIDE SUPPORT, BASIC NEEDS ITEMS, AND ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES.
