ADULT PROGRAMS AND EVENTS - THE CHARLOTTE TENNIS ASSOCIATION OPERATES PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE NEW PLAYERS TO THE GAME, AS WELL AS PROVIDE MATCH PLAY OPPORTUNITY FOR THE EXISTING POPULATION OF PLAYERS IN CHARLOTTE AND SURROUNDING AREAS. THE CTA PLANS, ORGANIZES, AND PROMOTES AND COORDINATES ALL ASPECTS OF PLAY AT AREA PUBLIC AND PRIVATE TENNIS FACILITIES. IN 2022 OVER 6,000 ADULTS RANGING IN AGE FROM 21 TO OVER 80 YEARS OF AGE PARTICIPATED IN THREE LEAGUES/PROGRAMS ORGANIZED BY CTA.
JUNIOR PROGRAMS - THE CTA OPERATES PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE PLAYERS TO THE GAME, AS WELL AS PROVIDE MATCH PLAY OPPORTUNITY FOR EXISTING PLAYERS IN THE GREATER CHARLOTTE AREA. THE CTA PARTNERS WITH MECKLENBURG COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION TO HOST FOUR USTA SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTS FOR BEGINNING THROUGH HIGHLY RANKED COMPETITIVE PLAYERS. CERTAIN EVENTS DRAW PLAYERS FRO THE SOUTHERN REGION AND SUPPORT ECONOMIC IMPACT IN THE COMMUNITY. THE CTA COLLABORATES WITH AREA FACILITIES TO PROVIDE PLAY OPPORTUNITY THROUGH THE JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS PROGRAM FOR PLAYERS ACROSS ALL SKILL LEVELS.
