TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN ROWAN COUNTY BY HAVING PEOPLE FROM ALL WORKS OF LIFE WORK TOGETHER IN EQUAL PARTNERSHIP TO ELIMINATE POVERTY HOUSING. WE ARE FOUNDED ON THE CONVICTION THAT EVERY MAN, WOMAN, AND CHILD SHOULD HAVE A SIMPLE, DECENT, AFFORDABLE PLACE TO LIVE IN DIGNITY AND SAFETY. OUR MISSION IS TO BUILD NEW RELATIONSHIPS AND A SENSE OF COMMUNITY AS WELL AS NEW HOMES.

CONSTRUCTION WAS COMPLETED ON 4 HOMES THAT WERE TRANSFERRED TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES. AT YEAR END CONSTRUCTION WAS IN PROGRESS FOR 3 ADDITIONAL HOMES. MAINTAINED INTEREST FREE MORTGAGES FOR OVER 82 FAMILIES AND PROVIDED HOMEOWNER SERVICES TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES.
OPERATED RESTORE WHICH RECEIVED DONATED MERCHANDISE FROM BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN SUPPORTING HABITAT'S MISSION. THE MERCHANDISE WAS SOLD TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AT BELOW MARKET PRICES. THE NET PROCEEDS AFTER COVERING THE RESTORE EXPENSES WAS USED TO FURTHER THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION OF BUILDING AFFORDABLE HOUSING BY SUBSIDIZING CONSTRUCTION COSTS.
