ABRF IS A UNIQUE MEMBERSHIP ASSOCIATION COMPRISING OVER 700 MEMBERS WORKING WITHIN OR IN THE SUPPORT OF RESOURCE AND RESEARCH BIOTECHNOLOGY LABORATORIES. OUR MEMBERS REPRESENT OVER 340 LABORATORIES AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES IN GOVERNMENT, ACADEMIA, RESEARCH, INDUSTRY AND COMMERCIAL SETTINGS. THE ABRF PROMOTES THE EDUCATION AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENTISTS THROUGH CONFERENCES, A QUARTERLY JOURNAL, PUBLICATION OF RESEARCH GROUP STUDIES AND CONFERENCE TRAVEL AWARDS. THE SOCIETY ALSO SPONSORS MULTI-CENTER RESEARCH STUDIES DESIGNED TO HELP MEMBERS INCORPORATE NEW BIOTECHNOLOGIES INTO THEIR LABORATORIES.

CONFERENCES - THE PURPOSE OF CONFERENCES IS TO EXPOSE MEMBERS TO NEW AND EMERGING BIOTECHNOLOGY THROUGH PLENARY LECTURES, ROUNDTABLES, RESEARCH GROUP PRESENTATIONS, POSTER SESSIONS, WORKSHOPS, TECHNICAL EXHIBITS, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES WITH ACADEMIC, INDUSTRY, AND EXHIBITOR COLLEAGUES. THE ABRF 2020 ANNUAL MEETING, WAS HELD VIRTUALLY. THE ANNUAL MEETING FOCUSED ON THE ABRF MEMBERSHIP PROMOTES THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF ITS MEMBERS COLLABORATION BETWEEN DISCIPLINES TO ENHANCE PROBLEM SOLVING IN BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH.
ABRF HAS REGIONAL CHAPTERS THAT PROVIDE NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR CORE DIRECTORS, MANAGERS AND STAFF THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. THE LOCAL CHAPTERS ORGANIZE MEETINGS THAT PROVIDE A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION OF ISSUES RELATED TO CORE MANAGEMENT AND THEIR TECHNOLOGIES. THEY ALSO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CORE STAFF TO NETWORK AND OBTAIN TRAINING AND/OR ADVANCED TECHNICAL INFORMATION IN A REGIONAL SETTING.
