FAMILY EDUCATION - TO ASSIST ALL WHO ARE AFFECTED BY DEMENTIA, AND THEIR CARE PARTNERS, AND TO DEVELOP COPING SKILLS THROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND SUPPORT NETWORKS IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGHOUT THE JOURNEY WITH ALZHEIMER'S.
PUBLIC AWARENESS/EDUCATION - TO INCREASE AWARENESS AND VISIBILITY OF OUR CHAPTER IN THE AREAS WE SERVE FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING ADVOCATES, DONORS, FUNDING, WALK PARTICIPANTS, VOLUNTEERS, AND PEOPLE TO UTILIZE OUR SERVICES/PROGRAMS.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING - COMMITTED TO HELPING PROFESSIONALS IMPROVE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS, BUILD STRONGER TEAMS AND DELIVER BETTER CARE TO PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE TRAINING AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS ARE GEARED TO PROFESSIONALS WORKING IN BOTH COMMUNITY-BASED AND RESIDENTIAL CARE SETTINGS. THE PROGRAMS AND MEETINGS HAVE BEEN ATTENDED BY ACTIVITY PROFESSIONALS, ADMINISTRATORS, NURSES, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS, PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, SOCIAL WORKERS AND STAFF TRAINERS.
