HEALTHY LIVING (4A) THE YMCA IS COMMITTED TO IMPROVING AMERICA'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, COMMUNITY BY COMMUNITY. WE BRING FAMILIES CLOSER TOGETHER, ENCOURAGE GOOD HEALTH AND FOSTER CONNECTIONS THROUGH FITNESS, SPORTS, FUN AND SHARED INTERESTS. AS A RESULT, OVER 7000 INDIVIDUALS IN OUR COMMUNITY ARE RECEIVING THE SUPPORT, GUIDANCE AND RESOURCES THROUGH YMCA MEMBERSHIP AND PROGRAMS THEY NEED TO ACHIEVE GREATER HEALTH IN SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY. THIS IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT AS OUR NATION STRUGGLES WITH CHRONIC DISEASE AND OBESITY, FAMILIES WRESTLE WITH WORK/LIFE BALANCE AND INDIVIDUALS SEARCH FOR PERSONAL FULFILLMENT. BEYOND FITNESS FACILITIES, ON AN AVERAGE DAY WE PROVIDE 60 HOURS OF GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTION AND PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL AND SPIRITUAL STRENGTH TO OVER 700 INDIVIDUALS. DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS, WE DID NOT OFFER ANY YMCA SPECIAL EVENTS DURING 2021. WE LOOK FORWARD TO GRADUALLY BRINGING BACK OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN TO SPEND TIME TOGETHER BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR A POSITIVE, LIFE-LONG HEALTHY FAMILY RELATIONSHIP. SPECIAL EVENTS INCLUDE HEALTHY KID'S DAY, FATHER/DAUGHTER DANCE, Y ADVENTURE GUIDES AND COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIRS.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT (4B) OUR YMCA IS COMMITTED TO NURTURING THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY CHILD AND TEEN. WE BELIEVE ALL CHILDREN HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL AND DESERVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCOVER WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY CAN ACHIEVE. OUR YMCA PROGRAMS, SUCH AS AFTERSCHOOL CARE, SUMMER CAMP, LEADERS IN TRAINING, YOUTH SWIM LESSONS AND YOUTH SPORTS, OFFER A RANGE OF EXPERIENCES THAT ENRICH SOCIAL- EMOTIONAL, COGNITIVE AND PHYSICAL GROWTH. EXPENSES INCLUDE SUBSIDIES AND DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE THAT MAKE PARTICIPATION POSSIBLE FOR 20 PERCENT OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE WE ENGAGE. WITH A FOCUS ON SAFETY, HEALTH, SOCIAL GROWTH AND ACADEMIC ENHANCEMENT, Y AFTERSCHOOL CARE AND Y SUMMER CAMP SERVED 811 CHILDREN BETWEEN KINDERGARTEN AND 8TH GRADE WITH A VARIETY OF ACTIVITY OPTIONS TO EXPLORE AND DEVELOP THEIR INTERESTS AND TALENTS.
