ITS MISSION IS TO EXPAND AND ADVANCE STATE-OF-THE-ART SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH OF MEMORY AND MEMORY DISORDERS FOR PURPOSES OF PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS, AND TREATMENT. IT ALSO PROMOTES TRANSLATION OF RESULTING DISCOVERIES TO PRACTICAL MEDICAL APPLICATIONS.

THE FUNDAMENTAL MISSION OF THE COGNITIVE RESEARCH ENTERPRISES, INC. ("CRE") IS TO DEVELOP A WORLD-CLASS BASIC SCIENCE AND CLINICAL RESEARCH PROGRAM FOR THE PURPOSE OF PREVENTING, DIAGNOSING, TREATING, AND CURING NEUROLOGICAL, PSYCHIATRIC, AND MEMORY DISORDERS AFFECTING THE BRAIN. CRE IS DEDICATED TO SEEKING PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS TO NEUROLOGICAL AND COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT THROUGH FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH, WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND STATE-OF-THE-ART PRINCIPLES OF MOLECULAR AND CELLULAR NEUROBIOLOGY. THE BASE RESEARCH PROGRAM IN MEMORY AND MEMORY DISORDERS USES A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH THAT INTEGRATES AND (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O) APPLIES PRINCIPLES OF BEHAVIORAL RESEARCH, BRAIN IMAGING RESEARCH, BRAIN NETWORK SIGNALING RESEARCH, AND RESEARCH INTO THE SEQUENCE OF MOLECULAR STEPS INVOLVED IN MEMORY AND MEMORY DISORDERS.
