HISTORY OF THE ORGANIZATIONCOMMUNITYWORKS IN WEST VIRIGNIA, INC. (CWWV) IS A STATEWIDE MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION MADE UP OF 20 LOCAL AGENCIES THAT PROVIDE HOUSING-RELATED SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF WEST VIRGINIA. CWWV WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1991 AND IS CERTIFIED BY THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY AS A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FINANCIAL INSTITUTION (CDFI). CWWV HAS BEEN A CHARTERED MEMBER OF NEIGHBORWORKS AMERICA SINCE 1996. THE MISSION OF CWWV IS TO CREATE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SOLUTIONS FOR WEST VIRGINIANS THROUGH A NETWORK OF MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS.
