THE ORGANIZATION UTILIZES THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA PROGRAM TO INSTILL GOOD CITIZENSHIP SKILLS, OUTDOOR SURVIVAL AND CONSERVATION SKILLS, AS WELL AS PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL FITNESS TO YOUTHS BETWEEN AGES 5 AND 20, OF WHICH WE SERVED A TOTAL OF 943 YOUTH. WE OFFERED SCOUTS BSA AND CUB SCOUT RESIDENT CAMP TO 401 YOUTH OVER A FIVE WEEK PERIOD, MERIT BADGE UNIVERSITY AT WVU TO 84 YOUTH AT MULTIPLE CAMPUS LOCATIONS BECAUSE OF LIMITED GATHERING GUIDELINES, THE FIRST MERIT BADGE COLLEGE AT WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN COLLEGE TO 29 YOUTH, AND MINI CAMPS OVER TWO WEEKS TO 135 YOUTH. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF YOUTH SERVED FOR ALL ACTIVITIES IN 2021 IS 1,384 INCLUDING YOUTH FROM OUTSIDE OUR SERVICE TERRITORY BUT NOT INCLUDING PARTICIPATING ADULTS AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS. WITH COVID DURING 2021 WE CONTINUED TO UTILIZE NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND STRATEGIES TO CONTINUE PROVIDING YOUTH WITH OUR SERVICES.
