THE BUCKSKIN COUNCIL BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA ("THE COUNCIL") IS A WEST VIRGINIA NON-PROFIT CORPORATION WHICH IS A SEPARATE LEGAL ENTITY FROM THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA (BSA). THE COUNCIL OPERATES UNDER THE TERMS OF A CHARTER ISSUED BY THE BSA WITH AN ANNUAL CHARTER FEE PAID BY THE COUNCIL TO THE BSA. THE COUNCIL OWNS AND CONTROLS ITS CORPORATE ASSETS AND LIABILITIES ENTIRELY SEPARATELY FROM THE BSA. THE COUNCIL SERVES VIRGINIA, WEST VIRGINIA, OHIO, AND KENTUCKY FROM ITS SERVICE CENTER IN CHARLESTON, WV. THE COUNCIL HAS FIVE CAMPING FACILITIES.
