ITS MEMBERSHIP IS COMPRISED OF PEOPLE NEAR AND FAR WHO SUPPORT THE DISCOVERY, RESEARCH, AND PRESERVATION OF DOCUMENTS, BOOKS, OBJECTS, BUILDINGS, AND SITES RELATED TO AUGUSTA COUNTY, STAUNTON, AND WAYNESBORO.

THE SOCIETY ALSO PROMOTES THE STUDY OF GENEALOGY. WE ASSIST PEOPLE WITH RESEARCH IN AREAS OF INTEREST PERTAINING TO AUGUSTA COUNTY. WE PUBLISH BOOKS AND NEWSLETTERS TO KEEP OUR MEMBERSHIP INFORMED. AT LEAST THREE TIMES A YEAR, WE SPONSOR A LECTURE ON TOPICS OF INTEREST TO THE MEMBERSHIP.
