INCREASED OPPORTUNITIES TO AID NON-PROFITS IN DISSEMINATING THEIR MESSAGE THROUGH VARIOUS MEDIA CHANNELS, WHICH RESULTED IN THE PUBLISHING OF 59 MEDIA STORIES THROUGH AMOST 3,200 MEDIA OUTLETS NATIONWIDE AND REACHING AN AUDIENCE OF ALMOST 60 MILLION PEOPLE, PLUS MILLIONS MORE VIA SOCIAL MEDIA. 6 OF THE STORIES WERE PRODUCED BY KENT STATE UNIVERSITY JOURNALISM STUDENTS IN A MEDIA COLLABORATION WITH THE OHIO NEWS SERVICE, ONE OF 37 STATE-BASED BUREAUS OF THE PUBLIC NEWS SERVICE. THESE STORIES REACHED A CUMULATIVE AUDIENCE OF ALMOST 6 MILLION. 3 OF THE STORIES WERE REPACKAGED AND DISTRIBUTED STORIES IN A MEDIA COLLABORATION WITH THE NONPROFIT ONLINE INVESTIGATIVE NEWS OUTLET, EYE ON OHIO.
