THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED FOR THE PURPOSE OF BUILDING AND OPERATING A PERFORMING ARTS CENTER IN ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND. THE FACILITY IS BEING PLANNED FOR LARGE CONFERENCES, PERFORMING ARTS AND CULTURAL EVENTS, AND COMMUNITY EVENTS.

STAGE ONE, AN OUTDOOR PERFORMANCE STAGE ON THE PROPERTY WAS USED FOR MUSICAL AND OTHER PERFORMANCES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. DURING 2020, DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS ON PUBLIC GATHERINGS, THERE WAS ONLY ONE MAJOR EVENT, AN INNOVATIVE ORIGINAL DANCE PERFORMANCE AND LIGHT SHOW. REVENUE FROM THE EVENT INCLUDED TICKET SALES AND SPONSORSHIPS. DURING 2021 CONTINUED COVD 19 RESTRICTIONS REDUCED THE USE OF THE SITE TO A LIMITED SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - THE JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION, THE GRAND OPENING OF THE MURAL, THE SILENT DISCO EVENT, THE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES AND THE HOPE DANCE CONCERT . DURING 2021 A NEW STAGE ONE MURAL WAS INSTALLED AND THE STAGE WAS RENOVATED INCLUDING ENHANCEMENT WITH A SUNSAIL CANOPY.
GALLERY EXHIBITIONS AND MEET THE ARTIST RECEPTIONS CONTINUED DURING 2021 IN-PERSON AND VIRTUALLY, AND WERE WELL ATTENDED BY THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THESE PROGRAMS ALONG WITH VARIOUS OUTDOOR PERFORMANCES AND STUDENT PROGRAMS HELD AT STAGEONE DEMONSTRATE THE BROAD RANGE AND DIVERSITY OF CULTURAL ARTS ACTIVITY THAT THE PROPOSED CULTURAL ARTS CENTER WILL PRESENT ON A LARGER SCALE IN THE FUTURE. THE MAJORITY OF THE PROGRAMS PRESENTED ARE FREE AND ARE OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
