LEADERSHIP METRO RICHMOND IS A COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND ENGAGEMENT ORGANIZATION WITH A MISSION TO CONNECT AND EDUCATE DIVERSE GROUPS OF COMMUNITY LEADERS, INSPIRING THEM TO SERVE THE GREATER RICHMOND REGION. OUR FLAGSHIP PROGRAM, LEADERSHIP QUEST, PROVIDES A POWERFUL 10- MONTH EXPERIENCE THAT GOES BEYOND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO DEVELOP LEADERS WHO HAVE THE DESIRE TO SERVE AND THE ABILITY TO LEAD. UPON COMPLETION OF THIS PROGRAM, GRADUATES BECOME PART OF A NETWORK OF OVER 2000 LEADERS WHO WORK TO AFFECT CHANGE FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE COMMUNITY.

LEADERSHIP QUEST EDUCATES, ENERGIZES AND CONNECTS THE REGION'S ESTABLISHED AND EMERGING LEADERS THROUGH AN INNOVATIVE CURRICULUM CENTERED ON FOCUSED EXAMINATION OF THE KEY ISSUES FACING OUR COMMUNITY WHILE DEVELOPING ADVANCED LEADERSHIP CAPACITIES. THE 10-MONTH PROGRAM COMBINES RETREATS, DEVELOPMENT SEMINARS AND GROUP FIELD WORK TO CREATE A UNIQUE MIX OF INTELLECTUAL, PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS DESIGNED TO BROADEN THE DEEPER PERSPECTIVE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE RICHMOND REGION AND ITS COMPLEX ISSUES. OVER THE PAST 42 YEARS THE PROGRAM HAS HAD OVER 2000 GRADUATES.
LMR'S COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS, INCLUDING THE BOARD GOVERNANCE WORKSHOP SERIES, FOCUS ON PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE OF TOPICS AS WELL AS HOW TO CONNECT TO BOARD AND COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES THAT STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AND THE GREATER RICHMOND REGION.
