EDUCATION/ACTIVITY 1. PROVIDING HEALTHY ELDERLY WITH EDUCATIONAL CLASSES SUCH AS ESL COMPUTER, ARTS AND FITNESS AND MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES TO ENHANCE THEIR LIFE SKILLS. 2. PROVIDING THEM WITH HELATH PROMOTING AND PREVENTION CLASSES BY INVITING PROFESSIONAL LECTURERS. 3. PROVIDING ELDERLY WITH COUNSELING FOR SOCIAL SERVICES BENEFITS OF FEDERAL OR LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND HELP ELDERLY ACCESS TO THE SERVICE BY MAKING REFERRALS TO THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE AGENCIES. 4. PROVIDING ELDERLY WITH ASSISTANCE FOR APPLICATION PROCESS AND WITH TRANSPORTATION TO A TEST SITE IN ORDER TO OBTAIN US CITIZENSHIP. 5. PROVIDING OVER 400 ELDERLY WITH ENROLLMENT RENEWAL OF MEDICARE D PROGRAM EACH YEAR TO LAST 13 YEARS. 6. PROVIDING HEALTH SCREENING FOR BLOOD SUGAR, BLOOD PRESSURE AND FLU SHOT ON A REGULAR BASIS. 7. TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM PROVIDED TRANSPORTATION FOR NEARLY 200 SENIORS YEAR AROUND. 8. COMPUTER TRANING CLASS PROVIDES CLASSROOMS TO TRAIN BASIS USE OF OFFICE PROGRAMS, EMAIL, SMART PHONE, TABLET AND INTERNET NAVIGATION.
PERSONAL CARE AIDE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM: PROVIDING CLASSES FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PROVIDE CARE TO VERY FRAIL ELDERLY AT THEIR HOME. THIS PROGRAM FOLLOWS THE CURRICULUM GUIDELINES SET OUT BY DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES OF VIRGINIA STATE. PERSONAL CARE AIDE CLASS (PCA CERTIFICATE) PROVIDES CLASS LECTURES AND WORKSHOPS FOR EIGHT WEEKS TO BE CERTIFIED. UP TO DATE IT HAS CERTIFIED OVER 1000 PERSONAL CARE AIDES AND OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF THEM IS WORKING IN THE LONG TERM CARE FIELD. HOME CARE SERVICE TO ELDERLY: PROVIDE PERSONAL CARE AIDES TO BENEFITS OF SENIOR CITIZENS BY TEDNING TO THE NEEDS OF MOST VULNERABLE ELDERLY COMMUNITIES.
