ICRD SERVES AS A BRIDGE BETWEEN POLITICS AND RELIGION IN SUPPORT OF PEACEMAKING BY DEPLOYING INTER-RELIGIOUS ACTION TEAMS TO TROUBLE SPOTS WHERE CONFLICT THREATENS OR HAS ALREADY BROKEN OUT. ICRD ALSO TRAINS CLERGY AND LAITY IN THE TASKS OF PEACEMAKING. FINALLY, THE CENTER PROVIDES FEEDBACK TO THEOLOGIANS AND CLERGY ON INTERPRETATIONS OF THEIR TEACHINGS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO STRIFE AND MISUNDERSTANDING.
