RESIDENCY EDUCATION PROGRAM ACCREDITATION: 3 NEW RESIDENCY PROGRAMS 2 IMAGING AND 1 THERAPY IN 2021. THIS BRINGS THE TOTAL TO 141 RESIDENCIES IN 2021. A REQUIREMENT FOR CERTIFICATION IN THE FIELD REQUIRES COMPLETION OF A CAMPEP-ACCREDITED RESIDENCY. STRICT STANDARDS AND SIGNIFICANT PEER REVIEW ARE REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE ACCREDITATION.
GRADUATE PROGRAMS: 2 NEW GRADUATE PROGRAM WAS ACCREDITED IN 2021, BRINGING THE TOTAL OF GRADUATE PROGRAM TO 56 MS, 41 PHD, 28 CERTIFICATE, AND 5 DMP PROGRAMS IN 2021. CERTIFICATION IN THE FIELD IS BASED UPON ACHIEVING AN ADVANCED DEGREE IN THE FIELD FROM A CAMPEP ACCREDITED PROGRAM TO ENSURE THAT APPROPRIATE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE HAVE OCCURRED AND THAT THE INDIVIDUAL HAS HAD THE ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL AND CONTINUING EDUCATION: MEDICAL PHYSICS CERTIFICATION DEMANDS AN ONGOING EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO ENGAGE IN MEDICAL PHYSICS.
