TRI IS FACILITATING ON-GOING RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE IN THE FIELD OF ADVANCED OPTICAL DESIGNS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SIGNAL TRANSMISSION. THIS RESEARCH WILL LEAD DIRECTLY TO ADVANCEMENTS IN LASER COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE US MILITARY. THE WORK IS SPONSORED BY THE ARMY RESEARCH LABORATORY AND THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COMMAND (RDECOM).
