PUBLICATION OF A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER, SURFACE SITREP, DISTRIBUTED TO MORE THAN 5,000 MEMBERS
AWARDS PROGRAM TO RECOGNIZE EXCELLENCE IN PERFORMANCE AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS. AWARDS INCLUDE OLD SALT AWARD, RADM H.E SCHONLAND AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN DAMAGE CONTROL, SURFACE SAILOR OF THE YEAR AWARD, ETC.
ASSISTANCE WITH AFFILIATED CHAPTERS WHICH ARE COMPRISED OF MEMBERS RESIDING IN VARIOUS GEOGRAPHIC AREAS. CHAPTERS ADMINISTER LOCAL PROGRAMS, ASSIST IN RECRUITING MEMBERS AND PROVIDE A LOCAL FORUM FOR DISCUSSION OF NAVY ISSUES.
