DREAM CATCHERS (ORGANIZATION), A VIRGINIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION, ENRICHES THE LIVES OF CHILDREN, ADULTS, AND FAMILIES THROUGH EQUINE ASSISTED ACTIVITIES AND THERAPIES (EAAT) OFFERING EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT, HEALING, AND HOPE. PROGRAMS INCLUDE THERAPEUTIC RIDING, THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP, MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING, COMMUNITY HEALTH & WELLNESS, SUMMER CAMPS, AND PROFESSIONAL EAAT EDUCATION THROUGH WORKSHOPS AND CERTIFICATIONS. ON AVERAGE, 800 PARTICIPANTS ARE SERVED EACH YEAR; THE SERVICE AREA IS THE VIRGINIA PENINSULA FROM RICHMOND TO NORFOLK, AS WELL AS THE MIDDLE PENINSULA AND THE NORTHERN NECK REGIONS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HOSTS AND CONDUCTS EDUCATION WORKSHOPS/CERTIFICATIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS FROM ACROSS THE NATION SEEKING KNOWLEDGE AND CREDENTIALS IN EQUINE ASSISTED ACTIVITIES AND THERAPIES (EAAT).
