THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, HENRICO HUMANE SOCIETY PROVIDES MEDICAL TREATMENT TO ANIMALS THAT HAVE BEEN RESCUED. ONCE AN ANIMAL IS HEALTHY ENOUGH TO BE ADOPTED, THE ANIMAL WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.
HENRICO HUMANE SOCIETY PARTICIPATES IN SPAY RVA A SPAY NEUTER PROGRAM CREATED FOR PET OWNERS WHO CANNOT AFFORD THE COST OF SURGERY TO SPAY OR NEUTER THEIR PET. THE PROGRAM ALLOWS PET OWNERS TO HAVE THEIR PET SPAYED OR NEUTERED AT PARTICIPATING SPAY NEUTER CLINICS AND HENRICO HUMANE SOCIETY COVERS THE SPAY AND NEUTER EXPENSES.
EVERY YEAR HENRICO HUMANE SOCIETY SPONSORS PET EXPO. PET EXPO IS A AN INDOOR EVENT WHERE PEOPLE CAN BRING THEIR PETS TO ENJOY A DAY OF FUN AND EXCITEMENT. PET EXPO ALSO SERVES AS A FUNDRAISER FOR HENRICO HUMANE SOCIETY.
