TO RESCUE DOMESTIC ANIMALS FROM CRUELTY, NEGLECT, AND ABANDONMENT AND PLACE THEM IN GOOD, LOVING, PERMANENT HOMES.

THE FLUVANNA SPCA (FSPCA) PROVIDES SHELTER, FEEDING, AND VETERINARY CARE FOR LOST, ABANDONED, ABUSED, AND NEGLECTED ANIMALS IN FLUVANNA COUNTY. IN 2021, THE FSPCA CONTINUED ITS NO-KILL STATUS WITH A LIVE RELEASE RATE OF 94%. THE FSPCA TOOK IN 381 CATS AND 301 DOGS, REUNITING 138 LOST PETS WITH THEIR OWNERS AND ADOPTING 35 DOGS AND 171 CATS INTO NEW HOMES. 229 PETS WERE TRANSFERRED TO OUT-OF-STATE NO-KILL SHELTERS AND FOUND PERMANENT HOMES. THE FSPCA PROVIDES PUBLIC ANIMAL SHELTER SERVICES TO THE COUNTY OF FLUVANNA AND CONDUCTS PUBLIC RABIES CLINICS TO ENCOURAGE PET OWNERS TO KEEP VACCINATIONS CURRENT.
