SEMINARS ARE OFFERED TO MEMBERS TO PROVIDE EDUCATION ON ISSUES AFFECTING CONDOMINIUM, COOPERATIVE AND HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATIONS. THIS INCLUDES ADMINISTERING THE ANNUAL "VIRGINIA LEADERSHIP RETREAT" IN CONJUNCTION WITH THREE OTHER CAI CHAPTERS WITHIN THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA. THE EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGERS, MANAGEMENT COMPANY OWNERS AND BUSINESS PARTNER PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS. THE EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS ARE ADVANCED IN NATURE AND ARE DESIGNED TO DEVELOP THE CAREER PATHS OF THOSE WITH PREVIOUS MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE. COURSES OFFERED WILL MEET CAMICB AND CAI WITH NINE HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS FOR COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGERS. THE INCOME AND EXPENSES RELATED TO THE VIRGINIA LEADERSHIP RETREAT TOTALED 82,815 AND 85,674, RESPECTIVELY, FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2017, AND HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN CAI - CENTRAL VIRGINIA CHAPTER'S OPERATING RESULTS. THE VIRGINIA LEADERSHIP RETREAT BEGAN IN 2009 AND HAS SINCE ACCUMULATED CASH OF 29,086 WHICH IS INCLUDED IN CAI - CENTRAL VIRGINIA CHAPTER'S NET ASSETS FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2017. THIS CASH IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE USE OF THE CHAPTER AND IS EXPECTED TO BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER CHAPTER DURING THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2018.
