SCDHC'S MISSION IS TO USE A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO CREATE VIABLE, THRIVING, AND SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES. OUR PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT, SUPPORTIVE RESOURCES, SERVICES AND PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE CENTRAL VIRGINIA REGION.

PROVIDED 448 CLIENTS HOME OWNERSHIP EDUCATION, PRE AND POST HOUSING COUNSELING, CREDIT COUNSELING, RENTAL AND FORECLOSURE PREVENTION COUNSELING.PROVIDED 18 HOMEBUYERS DOWN PAYMENT AND CLOSING COST ASSISTANCE. BUILT AND SOLD 8 NEW CONSTRUCTION SINGLE FAMILY HOMES FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS.THE FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITY CENTER PROVIDED EMPLOYMENT, FINANCIAL LITERACY, INCOME SUPPORT AND DIGITAL SERVICES TO 479 CLIENTS, RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED TO 71 CLIENTS.PROVIDED OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES THAT ASSISTED 1,900 CLIENTS TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS FOR THE RENT RELIEF EMERGENCY PROGRAM.
