BBBS BELIEVES THAT ALL YOUNG PEOPLE DESERVE A POSITIVE SUPPORT SYSTEMTO HELP THEM REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE ANDSUPPORT ONE-TO-ONE MENTORING RELATIONSHIPS THAT IGNITE THE POWER ANDPROMISE OF YOUTH.. IN 2019 WE SERVED 200 YOUNG PEOPLE. BIGS COMMIT TOSPENDING AT LEAST ONE HOUR A WEEK WITH THEIR LITTLE FOR AT LEAST 12MONTHS. IN 2019, OUR AVERAGE MATCH LENGTH INCREASE FROM 26.6 MONTHS TO30 MONTHS. LITTLES OVER THE AGE OF NINE ARE SURVEYED ANNUALLY, WITHOVER 74 PERCENT REPORTING AN INCREASE IN EDUCATIONAL EXPECTATIONS -MORE LIKELY TO GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL AND GO TO COLLEGE - AND A REDUCTIONIN ATTITUDES TOWARD RISKY BEHAVIOR SUCH AS SMOKING, DRINKING, ORTRUANCY.
