CONFERENCE PROGRAM: SERVES DATA USERS AND DATA PRODUCERS TO EXAMINE HOW FEDERAL STATISTICS, ADMINISTRATIVE DATA AND A GROWING WORLD OF PRIVATE DATA ARE CONVERGING TO REDIRECT HOW PUBLIC DATA WILL BE DEFINED, COLLECTED, AND USED FOR YEARS TO COME.MEMBERSHIP: APDU IS THE NATIONAL NETWORK FOR PUBLIC DATA PRODUCERS, DISSEMINATORS, AND USERS. THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO MEMBERS AND PROVIDES A MECHANISM TO NETWORK AND ADVOCATE ON BEHALF OF PUBLIC DATA USERS. THE APDU MEMBERSHIP CONSISTS OF GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, UNIVERSITIES AND ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS, STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, CORPORATE AND MEDIA ORGANIZATIONS, NONPROFITS, STARTUPS, AND INDIVIDUAL ADVOCATES. BROADCASTS USUALLY LAST 60 MINUTES AND RECORDINGS ARE ARCHIVED IN THE MEMBER AREA.TOOLS AND RESOURCES: IN CONJUNCTION WITH TRAININGS, THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE, ADVOCACY WORK, AND EXTERNAL PARTNERS, APDU DEVELOPS SPECIAL PUBLICATIONS AND RESOURCES MEANT TO FURTHER THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PUBLIC DATA PROFESSIONAL AND THE WORK OF THE INDUSTRY.
