THE PATIENT IS THE FOCAL POINT OF THE PROGRAM'S OPERATIONS AND HIS/HER WELL BEING WILL NOT BE SACRIFICED FOR LESSER GOALS. TREATMENT IS PROVIDED WITHIN A PROGRAM WITH A SET OF SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES, WHICH MAY INCLUDE METHADONE MAINTENANCE OR DETOX, ASSESSMENT, EVALUATIONS, TREATMENT AFTERCARE AND/OR REFERRAL. THE PROGRAM IS DEVELOPED TO MAXIMALLY MEET THE PATIENT'S TREATMENT NEEDS WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME ALLOWING TIME TO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS, ESTABLISH A NEW LIFESTYLE, ENJOY A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE AND FUNCTION CONSTRUCTIVELY FREE OF DEPENDENCE ON ILLICIT DRUGS WITHIN HIS/HER CHOSEN ENVIRONMENT.
