POVERTY REDUCTION. QUIN RIVERS IS A VIRGINIA-BASED NONPROFIT AGENCY THAT MOBILIZES COMMUNAL RESOURCES TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO OBTAIN KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OPPORTUNITIES TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT.

THE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDES CUSTOMERS RENTAL AND UTILITY RELIEF WHO LIVE AT OR BELOW THE 200% FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL OR QUALIFY FOR TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES (TANF).
THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING PROGRAM PROVIDES DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT INTERVENTION SERVICES, INCLUDING COURT ADVOCACY, SUPPORTIVE COUNSELING, SAFETY PLANNING, CHILDREN'S COUNSELING, AND A SUMMER DAY CAMP.
THE EDUCATION AND SOCIAL CAPITAL PROGRAM PROVIDES A FEEDING PROGRAM TO CHILDREN WHO LIVE OR ATTEND SCHOOL IN KING WILLIAM OR KING AND QUEEN COUNTY. IT ALSO OFFERS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES RESOURCES TO HELP STUDENTS TRANSITION TO POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION THROUGH THE PROJECT DISCOVERY CURRICULUM.
