COMMUNITY INVESTMENT/IMPACT: PROVIDING A COMMUNITY-WIDE CHARITABLE CAMPAIGN TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND FOCUSING INVESTMENT EFFORTS IN THREE IMPACT AREASACCESS TO HEALTH AND CRISIS INTERVENTION, INCREASING SELF-SUFFICIENCY, AND STRENGTHENING FAMILIES AND YOUTH. DESIGNATION OPTIONS ARE PROVIDED WHICH ALLOWS DONORS ADDITIONAL CHOICES WITHIN THIS FRAMEWORK AND WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF HUMAN SERVICES.
COORDINATE THE NEW RIVER VALLEY-WIDE VOLUNTEER CENTER KNOWN AS VOLUNTEER NRV WHICH RECEIVES AN AVERAGE OF APPROXIMATELY 7,500 UNIQUE VISITORS A YEAR. IT REGULARLY HAS 130 ACTIVE AGENCIES AND TYPICALLY 125-150 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES. IT IS ACTIVELY USED IN THE COMMUNITY AND IS TECHNICALLY ADVANCED. IT IS ACCESSED IN AND SERVES THE COMMUNITITES OF FLOYD, GILES, MONTGOMERY AND PULASKI COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF RADFORD.
