THE JOHN F. KENNEDY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS IS THE NATION'S PERFORMING ARTS FACILITY, ANNUALLY HOSTING MORE THAN 2,000 PERFORMANCES AND EVENTS FOR VISITORS TOTALING OVER 2 MILLION, WITH TELEVISED PRODUCTIONS, EVENTS AND RADIO BROADCASTS REACHING 40 MILLION MORE. THE ORGANIZATION (A) PRODUCES AND PRESENTS MUSIC, DANCE, THEATER, OPERA AND BALLET; (B) SUPPORTS ARTISTS IN THE CREATION OF NEW WORKS; AND (C) SERVES AS THE NATION'S LEADER IN ARTS EDUCATION. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION IS A LIVING MEMORIAL TO THE LATE PRESIDENT JOHN F.
