Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
THE ALLIANCE FOR JUSTICE ACTION CAMPAIGN (AFJAC) PROMOTES A NATIONAL CONVERSATION ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF THE COURTS WITH A GOAL OF ADVANCING CORE CONSTITUTIONAL VALUES, PRESERVING HUMAN RIGHTS, SECURING UNFETTERED ACCESS TO THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM, AND GUARANTEEING THE EVEN-HANDED ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE FOR ALL. AFJAC ALSO SERVES AS THE NATION'S LEADING RESOURCE ON THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK FOR 501(C)(4) NONPROFIT ADVOCACY EFFORTS.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
EDUCATION: AFJAC CREATED NEW RESOURCES TO HELP COALITIONMEMBERS WITH DIFFERENT TAX STATUSES UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN WORK TOGETHER WITHOUT JEOPARDIZING THEIR 501(C)(3) PARTNERS. THESE RESOURCES WERE POSTED ON AFJAC'S WEBSITE, SHARED WITH FUNDERS, AND DISSEMINATED AT CONFERENCES AND COALITION TRAININGS.
PARTISAN WORK: AFJAC ENCOURAGES VOTERS TO HOLD SENATORS AND THE PRESIDENT ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR SUPPORT OF FEDERAL JUDICIAL NOMINEES THAT WOULD TAKE AWAY CORE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AND FAVOR THE INTERESTS OF CORPORATIONS OVER ORDINARY PEOPLE.
LOBBYING: AFJAC MOTIVATED AND ORGANIZED GRASSROOTS ADVOCATES TO OPPOSE TRUMP'S JUDICIAL NOMINEES THROUGH THE USE OF RAPID RESPONSE EMAIL, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND RALLIES. AFJAC PLAYED A KEY ROLE IN OPPOSING THE CONFIRMATION OF BRETT KAVANAUGH TO THE SUPREME COURT BY WORKING WITH STATE-BASED AND NATIONAL COALITIONS, CO-ORGANIZING A NATIONAL #BELIEVESURVIVORS DAY OF ACTION, RAPID RESPONSE EMAIL, AND LEADING RALLIES PRIOR TO THE CONFIRMATION VOTE.
