ENCOURAGE QUALIFIED SMALL BUSINESSES TO APPLY FOR AN/OR MAINTAIN HUBZONE CERTIFICATION FROM THE US SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. ACHIEVED THROUGH PERIODIC ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERS AND ADVISORIES SENT TO HUBZONE AND OTHER COMPANIES.
ASSIST HUBZONE-CERTIFIED FIRMS IN OBTAINING FEDERAL CONTRACTS AND ENCOURAGE FEDERAL AGENCIES TO USE HUBZONE FIRMS. ACHIEVED THROUGH TRAINING SESSIONS AND MATCHMAKING SESSIONS WITH FEDERAL OFFICIALS AND PRIME CONTRACTORS AT THE NATIONAL HUBZONE CONFERENCE AND THE HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS SUMMIT. THE COUNCIL'S WEBSITE INCLUDES A VARIETY OF SUPPORT MATERIALS AND PERIODIC NEWSLETTERS AND ADVISORIES THAT PROVIDE INFORMATION ON PROGRAM CHANGES AND DEVELOPMENTS.
