THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED DIRECT LEGAL REPRESENTATION ON BEHALF OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME INDIVIDUALS, PRIMARILY IN CASES INVOLVING FORECLOSURE, DEBT COLLECTION AND OTHER CONSUMER MATTERS. IT ASSISTED NUMEROUS INDIVIDUALS FACING FORECLOSURE THROUGH ITS LOW BONO MEDIATION AND OTHER FORECLOSURE PREVENTION PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION, IT INCREASED ACCESS TO JUSTICE BY TRAINING AND MENTORING A NETWORK OF PRIVATE ATTORNEYS AND PROVIDING REFERRALS TO LOW AND MODERATE INCOME MARYLANDERS WHO NEED FREE OR REDUCED FEE LEGAL ASSISTANCE.
