THE COUNCIL IS DEDICATED TO SERVING STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES, SPONSORING BODIES, GOVERNMENTS AND EMPLOYERS BY PROMOTING ACADEMIC QUALITY THROUGH FORMAL RECOGNITION OF HIGHER EDUCATION ACCREDITING BODIES AND COORDINATES AND WORKS TO ADVANCE SELF-REGULATION THROUGH ACCREDITATION.

MEMBERSHIP SERVICES - SERVED AS PRIMARY NATIONAL FORUM FOR ACCREDITATION AND QUALITY REVIEW THROUGH SPONSORSHIP OF MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES INVOLVING THE ACADEMIC AND ACCREDITATION COMMUNITIES, POLICY MAKERS, AND THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY. PROVIDED SERVICES TO MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS AND RECOGNIZED ACCREDITING ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH CONDUCTING RESEARCH AND POLICY ANALYSIS, MAINTENANCE OF CHEA COMPREHENSIVE DATABASE AND ENGAGING UNIVERSITY PRESIDENTS IN THE POLICY AND PROCESS OF ACCREDITATION.
