THE MARYLAND RURAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO EDUCATE AND ADVOCATE FOR THE OPTIMAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS OF RURAL COMMUNITIES AND THEIR RESIDENTS. SEE SCHEDULE O

Part 3
MRHA HOLDS ITS ANNUAL MARYLAND RURAL HEALTH CONFERENCE. DUE TO COVID, THIS CONFERENCE WAS HELD VIRTUALLY. DESPITE THE VIRTUAL NATURE OF THE EVENT, THIS IS OUR LARGEST PROGRAM AND BRINGS IN THE MOST REVENUE EACH YEAR THROUGH CONFERENCE EVENT SPONSORS AND CONFERENCE REGISTRATIONS.
MRHA RECEIVED THE REMAINING GRANT FUNDING FROM THE PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT AS A SUB AWARDEE FROM A CDC COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR THEIR PREVENTIONLINK CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES CHRONIC DISEASE AND DIABETES MANAGEMENT IN SOUTHERN MD TO INCLUDE SOUTHERN PRINCE GEORGES, CALVERT, ST. MARYS AND CHARLES COUNTIES. MRHA IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RURAL OUTREACH ABOUT THE PROGRAM AND SUPPORTING PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION.
