LEARNING CENTER AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM: AS A WAY OF PROVIDING SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY, HCI OPERATES AND MANAGES A LEARNING CENTER. THE CENTER HAS BEEN IN OPERATION SINCE 2008 AND IS MANAGED BY THE DIRECTOR OF CHILD CARE, WITH THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF HCI PROVIDING OVERALL DIRECTION AND SUPPORT. THE HERITAGE LEARNING CENTER NOW MAINTAINS A STATE APPROVED PROGRAM CURRICULUM, ACCEPTS CHILDREN UNDER THE MEDICAID VOUCHERS PROGRAM, AND PROVIDES BI-LINGUAL TEACHING AND CARE.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, DEVELOPMENT AND PEDIATRIC OUTPATIENT THERAPY SERVICES PROGRAM: HCI PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH AN ACTIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AND THE HIRING OF SUBACUTE CARE SPECIALIST, PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS, PHYSICIANS AND OTHERS TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES. HCI'S OUTPATIENT THERAPY SERVICES PROGRAM IS IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN FROM UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES.
CNA/CHW/DPP: HERITAGE CARE PROVIDES FREE NURSING ASSISTANT TRAINING, COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER TRAINING, AND DIABETES PREVENTION TRAINING TO THE COMMUNITY. THESE PROGRAMS ARE A GREAT FIRST STEP FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS THAT WISH TO PURSUE A CAREER IN HEALTHCARE, AND FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS THAT WANT TO PREVENT T2 DIABETES.
