OUR MISSION: TO INFORM EMPOWER AND WORK FOR AND WITH COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY MINING PROCESSING AND USE OF COAL.

CCC'S OSMRE WATCH PROGRAM VIGILANTLY MONITORS POTENTIAL THREATS TO THE SURFACE MINING CONTROL AND RECLAMATION ACT SMCRA REGULATORY AUTHORITY. WE ACT SWIFTLY WHEN LAWMAKERS PROPOSE LEGISLATION THAT MAY WEAKEN THE ACT ADVOCATING FOR COALFIELD COMMUNITIES AND THEIR CONCERNS. BY FOSTERING ONGOING DIALOGUE AND AMPLIFYING THE PEOPLE'S VOICE CCC ENSURES THAT A POWERFUL NETWORK OF LEGAL EXPERTS AND ENGAGED CITIZENS SUPPORTS OSMRE'S EXISTENCE AND REACH.
CCC COLLABORATED WITH PADEP MINING PROGRAM OFFICIALS THROUGH SIX VIRTUAL SESSIONS ADDRESSING THE PADEP'S OVERSIGHT GAPS IN LONGWALL MINING AND RECOMMENDING ACTIONABLE COMPLIANCE MEASURES.
