LAB RESCUE OF LRCP, INC. ("LAB RESCUE") RESCUES AND REHABILITATES HOMELESS DOGS AND PLACES THEM IN NEW HOMES. LAB RESCUE IS SIMILAR TO OTHER RESCUE GROUPS AND SHELTERS BUT SPECIALIZES IN LABRADOR RETRIEVERS. THE LABS RECEIVED ARE FIRST EVALUATED FOR TEMPERAMENT AND THEN PLACED WITH FOSTER FAMILIES WHERE THEY ARE LOVED, EXERCISED AND FURTHER EVALUATED AS THEY AWAIT ADOPTION. ALL DOGS ARE BROUGHT UP TO DATE ON THEIR VACCINATIONS AND ARE GIVEN A HEARTWORM AND LYME DISEASE TEST AND TREATMENT WHEN NECESSARY. ALL DOGS TAKEN INTO THE RESCUE ARE SPAYED OR NEUTERED, IF MEDICALLY SAFE TO DO SO. LAB RESCUE ALSO PROVIDES A REFERRAL SERVICE FOR OWNERS SEEKING TO PLACE OR ADOPT LABRADOR RETREIVERS. IN 2022, THE TOTAL DOGS RESCUED WERE 774 AND THE TOTAL DOGS ADOPTED WERE 756.
