SENECA HOUSE HAS BEEN IN A VIGOROUS PERIOD OF TRANSITION WITH THE DEATH OF ITS FOUNDER AND LONGTIME CHAIRMAN, AS WELL AS DEATHS AND DISABILITIES OF OTHER ASSOCIATES AND BOARD MEMBERS. THE NEW BOARD MEMBERS ARE WELL-EXPERIENCED IN THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION, WITH THEIR BACKGROUNDS IN EDUCATION, MEDICINE, AND MILITARY SERVICE. EXISTING PROGRAMS ARE BEING REVIEWED, AND NEW PROGRAMS ARE BEING DEVELOPED. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE BOARD AND THE STAFF AT THE CHILDREN'S CENTER SUPPORTED BY SENECA HOUSE IS EXCELLENT, AND PROJECTS ARE BEING IDENTIFIED AND SUPPORTED. ORGANIZATIONAL ACCOUNTING AND COMMUNICATIONS ARE BEING IMPROVED. COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS NOW RECEIVING MUCH ATTENTION, AND WE EXPECT SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENTS IN THIS REGARD IN THE COMING MONTHS.
