DETOX/RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM INCLUDES: DETOXIFICATION, THERAPEUTIC COMMUNITY, FAMILY PROGRAMS AND RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS: DETOXIFICATION: GAUDENZIA ERIE, INC. PROVIDES 24-HOUR MEDICALLY MONITORED WITHDRAWAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR ADULT MEN AND WOMEN. CLIENTS UNDERGO COMPLETE MEDICAL EXAMS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ADMISSION. WHEN APPROPRIATE, THEY MAY ALSO MEET WITH OUR STAFF PSYCHIATRIST TO TREAT ANY OTHER CONDITIONS THEY MAY HAVE. TREATMENT IS INDIVIDUALLY BASED UPON THE CLIENT'S NEED, USUALLY 1-3 DAYS. ONCE A CLIENT BECOMES STABLE WITH HIS/HER DETOXIFICATION, OUR STAFF WILL ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION IN GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL THERAPY SESSIONS. (CROSSROADS) IS A THERAPEUTIC COMMUNITY (TC), WHICH IS A VALUE-BASED DRUG TREATMENT PROGRAM THAT FOCUSES ON THE "VIEW OF THE RIGHT LIVING." THIS VIEW EMPHASIZES TRUTH AND HONESTY, WORK ETHIC, LEARNING TO LEARN, PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY, ECONOMIC SELF-RELIANCE, RESPONSIBLE CONCERN FOR PEERS, FAMILY RESPONSIBILITY, COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND GOOD CITIZENRY. THE TREATMENT PHASES ARE: 1. ORIENTATION, 2. INTENSIVE THERAPY, 3. RE-ENTRY, 4. CONTINUING CARE FAMILY PROGRAM: SIGNIFICANT FAMILY MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FAMILY PROGRAM. A FAMILY ORIENTATION SESSION IS SCHEDULED SHORTLY AFTER ADMISSION. ANY FAMILY MEMBER WISHING TO HAVE VISITATION WITH THE RESIDENT IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE FAMILY PROGRAM WHICH MEETS EVERY WEEK. RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS: SHORT-TERM RESIDENTIAL, MODERATE-TERM RESIDENTIAL WORK RELEASE, LEVEL OF CARE IS DEPENDENT ON ADMISSION ASSESSMENT AND REFERRAL SOURCE. CLIENTS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE, DRUG AND ALCOHOL-FREE, (DETOX CAN BE ADMINISTERED IN-HOUSE), AND MEET AMERICAN SOCIETY OF ADDICTION MEDICINE (ASAM) CRITERIA.
OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDING: BABIES FIRST, WOMEN'S PROGRAM, HIV OUTREACH AND PREVENTION, AND SUPPORT SERVICES.
ERIE OUTPATIENT: ERIE OUTPATIENT PROVIDES AFTERCARE AND CONTINUING CARE SERVICES FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE COMPLETED AN INPATIENT REHABILITATION PROGRAM. ONCE THE INDIVIDUAL RETURNS TO THE COMMUNITY, INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAMMING BECOMES AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE CONTINUING CARE PLAN. THEY ALSO OFFER ADULT PROGRAMS, DRUG FREE PROGRAMS, AND INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT PLANS.
HALFWAY HOUSE: DR. DANIEL SNOW HALFWAY HOUSE IS A STATE LICENSED HALFWAY HOUSE SERVING MALES OVER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OLD, AND COMMUNITY HOUSE IS A WOMEN/WOMEN WITH CHILDREN PROGRAM. THE LENGTH OF STAY IS VARIABLE. PROSPECTIVE RESIDENTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA TO QUALIFY FOR ADMISSION: SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A TREATMENT PROGRAM, LICENSED BY THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH BUREAU OF DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAMS (BDAP), BE FREE OF ALL CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, PURSUANT TO A URINALYSIS, PRESENT NO MEDICAL CONDITION WHICH REQUIRES 24 HOUR MEDICAL MONITORING, AND EXHIBIT MOTIVATION.
