CHESAPEAKE BAY TRUST IS A PUBLIC, NONPROFIT GRANT-MAKING ORGANIZATION (CONTINUATION SCH. O) CREATED TO PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF AND PARTICIPATION IN THE RESTORATION AND PROTECTION OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY AND ITS TRIBUTARIES. SINCE ITS ESTABLISHMENT IN 1985 BY THE MARYLAND GENERAL ASSEMBLY, THE TRUST HAS AWARDED MORE THAN $140 MILLION IN THE AREAS OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION, ON-THE-GROUND RESTORATION AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH.
