ORGANIZE SEVERAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO BRING TOGETHER THE COMMUNITY AND SHOWCASE JOHNSTON'S BUSINESSES. IN THE SUMMER THE CHAMBER HOLDS THE ANNUAL JOHNSTON GREEN DAYS FESTIVAL, WHICH INCLUDES JAMMIN' IN JOHNSTON BUSINESS EXPO, A PARADE, FIREWORKS, A CARNIVAL, AND VARIOUS OTHER ACTIVITIES. LATER IN THE SUMMER, THE ANNUAL GOLF OUTING IS HELD AS A MEANS FOR BUSINESSES TO NETWORK WITH CLIENTS AND OTHER CHAMBER MEMBER BUSINESSES. IN MAY THE ANNUAL EDUCATOR'S APPRECIATION EVENT IS HELD TO RECOGNIZE JOHNSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT STAFF AND TEACHERS' HARD WORK. AN ANNUAL DINNER IS HELD TO HONOR THE AMBASSADOR, CITIZEN AND BUSINESS OF THE YEAR.
STRENGTHEN COMMUNICATION AMONG MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY THROUGH WEBSITE, PROMOTIONS AT THE GREEN DAYS EVENT, INFORMATION IN MONTHLY NEWSLETTER AND THE CREATION OF NEW CHANNELS OF COMMUNICATIONS. CONNECTING MEMBERS TO THE CHAMBER THROUGH MENTORING AND COMMUNICATING EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES.
