BUSINESS SERVICES - OUR BUSINESS SERVICES DIVISION PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT THROUGH DIRECT CONTRACTED SERVICES. THESE CONTRACTS ARE THROUGH TWO SPECIAL SET ASIDE PROGRAMS. OUR FEDERAL CONTRACTS ARE THROUGH THE ABILITYONE PROGRAM, AND OUR STATE CONTRACTS ARE THROUGH THE MARYLAND WORKS PROGRAM. BOTH PROGRAMS HAVE A REQUIREMENT THAT 75% OF THE DIRECT LABOR IS PROVIDED BY PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.
SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO VETERANS FAMILIES (SSVF) - ALLIANCE'S SSVF PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO HELP VETERAN FAMILIES ADDRESS ISSUES SUCH AS JOBLESSNESS, LIMITED INCOME, DISABILITIES, MENTAL ILLNESS, AND SUBSTANCE USE THAT HAVE AN EFFECT ON HOUSING STABILITY. SSVF PROVIDES A PERIOD OF SHORT-TERM INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT TO FAMILIES TO BENEFIT AND PROVIDE TEMPORARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WITH HOUSING OR MOVING EXPENSES. HOMELESS VETERANS REINTEGRATION PROGRAM (HVRP) - ALLIANCE'S HVRP IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST IN REINTEGRATING HOMELESS VETERANS INTO MEANINGFUL EMPLOYMENT WITHIN THE LABOR FORCE AND TO STIMULATE THE DEVELOPMENT OF EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY SYSTEMS THAT WILL ADDRESS THE COMPLEX PROBLEMS FACING HOMELESS VETERANS. HVRP PROVIDES A PERIOD OF INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT, FOR UP TO A YEAR, TO VETERANS TO BENEFIT AND PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WITH TRAINING, ASSOCIATED TRAINING FEES, AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WITH TOOLS AND WORK CLOTHES NEEDED TO BEGIN EMPLOYMENT.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT & REHABILITATION (VRS) - ALLIANCE'S VRS DIVISION PROVIDES CAREER ASSESSMENTS, TRAINING, JOB PLACEMENT, JOB COACHING, AND FOLLOW-UP SERVICES NEEDED FOR LONG-TERM SUCCESS. THE VRS DIVISION ALSO OFFERS A TRANSITION-TO-WORK PROGRAM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GOVERNOR'S TRANSITIONING YOUTH INITIATIVE THAT IS DESIGNED TO GUIDE STUDENTS FROM THE CLASSROOM TO SUCCESSFUL SUSTAINED EMPLOYMENT. PROGRAM LOCATIONS INCLUDE BALTIMORE CITY, BALTIMORE COUNTY, AND HARFORD COUNTY. HOURS OF OPERATION ARE 8:30AM - 5:00 PM.
INDIVIDUAL INDEPENDENT LIVING SUPPORT SERVICES (ISS) - THE ISS DIVISION'S COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES' PROGRAM ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO ACCESS THE NECESSARY SUPPORTS AND SERVICES THAT WILL ENABLE THEM TO REMAIN IN THE COMMUNITY. SERVICES MAY INCLUDE ASSISTANCE TO ACCESS COMMUNITY RESOURCES, ATTENDANT CARE, RESPITE SERVICES FOR THE FAMILY, AS WELL AS ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT OR MAKING CHANGES TO THE INDIVIDUAL'S LIVING ENVIRONMENT. PROGRAM LOCATIONS INCLUDE THE BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN AREA.
